About the position:
The opportunity is with a U.S.-based software development and technology consulting company that works with enterprise organizations, agencies, and mid-sized companies. The selected candidate will join the team to develop enterprise-grade WordPress websites and components within a highly structured development process, where requirements, technical documentation, Figma designs, and acceptance criteria are clearly defined before development begins.
In this role, you’ll get to:
- Develop custom WordPress themes.
- Build custom Gutenberg blocks.
- Implement solutions using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
- Develop custom WordPress plugins when needed.
- Build custom functionality using PHP and JavaScript.
- Translate Figma designs into responsive websites.
- Maintain and enhance existing WordPress applications.
- Write reusable, scalable, clean, and maintainable code.
- Deliver production-ready features with minimal revisions.
- Avoid unnecessary plugins by prioritizing custom-built solutions.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Follow Git workflows and pull request standards.
- Work closely with the QA team to quickly resolve bugs and issues.
- Provide effort estimates for assigned development tasks.
- Adhere to the team’s coding standards and development best practices.
- Meet agreed-upon delivery deadlines.
- Communicate blockers or issues proactively.
- Take ownership of assigned development tasks.

Desirable skills
- Experience with Tailwind CSS.
- Experience working with MySQL.
- Experience integrating or developing solutions using the WordPress REST API.
- Experience implementing ADA/WCAG accessibility best practices.
- Experience with WordPress Multisite.
- Experience working with websites hosted on WP Engine, Kinsta, Pantheon, or similar platforms.
- Experience with WooCommerce.
